How to Register to Bid
Register in Person
You can register in person by getting in touch with the Stimulus Research Services auction team. After a thorough review process, you will be intimated about the participants, prospective bidders, etc. You will also be intimated about the details of the articles to be featured in the Auction.
As part of the registration process, you will be needed to create an account and provide a government issued proof of identity such as a driver’s license or passport. A bank reference may also be required. You will also have the opportunity to record your communication information (email or post) and other company and personal details (as part of the registration process).
You can also register on our website (stimulusresearchservices.com) by selecting Register to Bid from the drop-down menu under the Auction tab.
Choose a Bidding Method
In-person: Attend the live Auction at the GLOBE LUXURIÉ DÉCODÉ 2017.
By telephone: You can also place bids over the telephone during the Auction.
Online: Follow along with live online sales from your personal computer to bid online while the auction is happening in real time.
By absentee bid: In case of your unavailability at the time of the Auction, you may place absentee bids by specifying the maximum amount you would like to bid.
How Does Bidding Work?
After the auctioneer starts the bidding process, they accept incrementally higher bids until a sole bidder remains. This final bidder purchases the lot. However, if the bidding fails to reach the reserve price, the lot is passed unsold.
How to Register to Sell
Whether you wish to sell a single item or a huge collection of items, all articles (to be put on sale) are to be valued by the Stimulus auction team and legal experts. Complimentary estimates are provisional and subject to revision after one of our specialists have already examined your item.
Once it has been determined that the item is appropriate for sale at the Auction, our specialists will complete the registration process with you. Kindly ensure you sign a consignment agreement before you agree to sell your articles at the Auction. This is the contract we have with our sellers in which we agree to sell their items at the Auction, including other details that list terms and fees for services, such as insurance, loss/damage liability, shipping and illustration.
When Can You Expect Payment?
For sold items, we will send payment within 35 days from the day of the sale, provided we are in receipt
of the buyer’s payment. Your payment will be based on the hammer price less a commission and any agreed-upon expenses.
How to Pay
If you are a successful bidder, you will receive an email confirmation from Stimulus Research Services.
Please note that for all sales, payments will be due within seven days after the Auction.
What will my contract with Stimulus Research Services cover?
The seller’s contract sets the reserve price and the seller’s commission.
